Content Description

The M. Donald McGavin collection contains material from a scrapbook and photographs reflecting McGavin's time as a student. The scrapbook material contains student memorabilia, material related to being a teaching assitant in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, rosters from the Department of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty Folk Club information, Theater Department and Lecture Concert Series programs. Also included are photographs showing University Village, East Lansing, and Veterinary laboratories and facilicies in Giltner Hall.

Biographical / Historical

Matthew Donald McGavin, originally from Austraila, attended MSU from 1961-1964 and graduated with a doctoral degree in veterinary pathology. He later taught at the University of Tenessee.
