Scope and Contents

The Stephen Masar collection contains materials from his time as a student at MSU. Included are study guides for sociology, American Thought and Language and Natuarl Science 183; student activity and theater ticket books, Beta Zeta Theta Chi and MSU fraternity brochures, how to use the MSU library booklets. There are also brochures about campus housing and residence halls as well a letter with move in details and a letter to residence advisors and hall presidents.

Biographical / Historical

Stephen Masar was born in 1944 and attended MSU from 1962 to 1966 majoring in history. He later worked as an archivist at the University of Wisconsin and later the Wisconsin Historical Society. He was one of founders of the Midwest Archives Conference. Masar passed away on April 5th, 2022. source- Stephen Masar obituary
