This collection consists of the papers of Michigan State University Professor Alan P. Grimes. “Remembering Lantern Hill, 1950-1952,” is about the early history and development of the Lantern Hill Housing subdivision. The Howland House collection contains reunion materials and photograph boards. The reunion materials consist of photocopies of information sheets from former members in which the members describe their lives since they left Howland House, with some containing images of themselves. The records of the Inter-Cooperative Council consist of meeting minutes, history of MSU cooperative housing by Orion Ulrey and George Motts, by-laws, and one issue of the Inter-Cooperative Council committee newsletter. There are also documents about the role of the faculty advisor and a job description of the general manager. There is also an Elsworth House orientation book that includes membership information including an application.
The records consist of a brochure and the newsletter Pine Press published by the Student Housing Cooperative. The issues cover current events and developments within the co-ops. The issues were printed from the Student Housing Cooperative website.
