This collection consists of materials relating to Katie Johnson's time as a 1965 summer exchange student at the University of Nigeria while a student at MSU. Items include a photocopy of the September/October 1965 "Format" magazine, a photocopy of the 1965 summer itinerary for the University of Nigeria, photocopies of correspondence from 2000 to Walter Johnson, Katie's father, and part of a 1965 "Nigerian Outlook" newspaper.

Margaret Strobel collection

Content Description

The Margaret Strobel collection contains a reminiscence written by Margaret Strobel about her time in the Michigan Nigeria Exchange (MINEX) program. The collection also includes slides and three digital images of Strobel and the students in Nigeria and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka campus. Also included is list of the images with descriptions by Strobel. There is also an image of the student group at JFK airport en route to Nigeria from a publication.
