Scope and Contents

The collection consists of photos mounted on mattes, scrapbook of photos, and loose photos taken by Arthur Clendenin, Jr. The images include photos of Michigan State College (now Michigan State University) campus buildings, a few photos of athletics, exterior of Rose Bowl stadium in 1954, homecoming court contest in 1953, homecoming queen Ardeth Raymond, Kappa Alpha Mu (photojournalism honorary society) events, and the Michigan Press Photographers conference.

Scope and Contents This collection contains material saved by Coach Duffy Daugherty throughout his coaching career, and includes correspondence, documents, and publications related to his coaching jobs, honors, presentations, and awards. Several members of Daugherty’s family also achieved success and the recognition of their accomplishments are detailed. Included in this issue are multiple articles about the floats that participated in the 65th Annual Tournament of Roses parade, articles featuring the news of the day, articles highlighting Michigan State's 28-20 victory over UCLA as well as coverage of various other bowl games.
