Scope and Content

The collection consists of seven issues of Campus Capsules. The newsletter gives information about the activities of each class, campus events such as the finishing of the carillon, WKAR-TV’s first telecast, the 1954 Rose Bowl, and the name change from Michigan State College to Michigan State University of Agriculture and Applied Science. The issues also include information about the athletic teams.

Owen Graduate Center Quarterly records

Scope and Contents

The Owen Graduate Center Quarterly records consist of a publication of informal articles written by students. Topics range from politics and student affairs to brain teasers and word searches. This collection contains publications from Fall 1975 to Spring 1977. This collection also contains the Owen Graduate Center Welcome Week Schedule from August 24 to August 30, 1999.

The newspaper clippings are from the Lansing State Journal and The State News. The Bubble UA 12.7.16

Scope and Content

The Bubble contained short articles, poems, and notices of events around campus. There was substance to the articles, though their tone was often satirical or humorous. There were observations of lectures, books, and the evils of smoking. The publication also took great joy in insulting neighboring communities. After Burton graduated The Bubble ceased to exist. It would be 13 more years before another student publication appeared on campus.
