These papers deal with Howell's activities in the College of Social Science and on university committees. Most of the material is from the early 1960s and pertains to sociology classes.
Jualynne Dodson papers
The Jualynne Dodson papers include materials documenting her career including curricula vitae, articles and papers written by Dodson, files related to projects and collaboration, syllabi for classes taught by Dodson, and photographs including trips to Cuba. Also included are materials related to the African Atlantic Research Team directed by Dodson. There is also material related to the Michigan State University Sociology Department as well as publications relating to Cuba and religion.

This collection consists of the reminiscences of Edna Brookover, wife of Wilbur, about the Quonset Village, which was built as temporary housing to accommodate the new faculty members and their families at Michigan State College (now Michigan State University). The collection also includes an undated paper by W. B. Brookover entitled "The Role of the University in the American Community."
