Charles S. Langdon papers

Scope and Contents This collection contains Langdon's reminiscences, entitled "It Happened Along the Way," collected on his 84th birthday in 1974. Langdon describes his early life, his years as Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University), his church activities, and the various jobs he held. Elton B. Hill papers

Scope and Contents The bulk of the collection contains material relating to the issues that interested Hill most as a teacher and researcher. He taught a number of courses on farm appraisal and agricultural finance, and his reference material appears here. Guy G. Speeker papers

Scope and Content

The Guy Speeker papers contain gradebooks for mathematics and physics classes that Speeker taught at Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University). Also included are letters of recommendation for Speeker, correspondence from Speeker as dormitory inspector and correspondence regarding World War I. There is a newspaper clipping about the resignation of M.A.C. President Jonathan Snyder and postcards of M.A.C. students and faculty.

Scope and Contents

Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University) memorabilia includes a class rivalry poster (1915), seven photographs of campus depicting an elk in the campus deer park, a group of people at Lake Lansing, M.A.C. faculty/staff circa 1899-1900, R. H. Pettit in an REO automobile, and A. J. Cook at the campus apiary. There is also one letter (1954), and one newsclipping of Professor R. H. Pettit's obituary.
