Scope and Contents The Richard Hammerstein collection contains magazines, timetables, maps, and other materials dealing with the history of the C & O Railroad and Lansing, Michigan railroads. Most of the materials are from the 1950s.Photocopies of railroad timetables for various railroads dating from 1872, 1907, and 1909 are also included in the collection. Scope and Contents The collection consists of William H. Smith's Michigan State University Railroad Club and Project 1225 materials including newsletters, auction flyer, and membership list. Included is a Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company engineer list for the Grand Rapids district for 1956 and 1969. In addition, there is a Grand Rapids district seniority list for 1944 from the Pere Marquette Railroad Company.
