The collection consists of Breckenridge’s responses to correspondence including information about his attempts to patent an automatic recording machine, his position at Yale, and Jeme Tien Yow, a colleague and friend living in Peking, China.

This collection contains a detailed contract between Moses P. Breckenridge, John Dribble, and N. J. Taylor, all of Westfield, Massachusetts. The contract specifies the type and size of house Dribble and Taylor were to build for Breckenridge. The collection also contains several of Breckenridge's receipts and a telegram notifying him of a relative's death (1864).
