The Edwin Willits papers consist of correspondence, financial records, Willits' inaugural address at Michigan Agricultural College, and various education-related materials, primarily concerning natural science.

Jason Hammond’s papers consist of one scrapbook, which contains a few programs and photographs from Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University). The majority of items are from the Michigan public schools at which he taught. Included are announcements, invitations, photographs, greeting cards, and programs from North Adams High School in Hillsdale, Michigan, where he was principal in 1891, and from schools in Allen and Johnsville, Michigan.

Scope and Contents This collection contains eight series: correspondence, personal correspondence, speeches, reports, promotional literature, calendars, programs and tickets. The Oscar Clute papers consist primarily of correspondence (1889-1893) during Clute's presidency at Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University). Also included are several articles on education and M.A.C., and information about the 1893 Columbian Exposition. The period of Clute's presidency was characterized by student unrest, political crises, and faculty turnover.

Scope and Contents The early correspondence gives a description of Civil War fighting in Virginia and comments on the controversy following McClellan’s removal by Lincoln. The correspondence from the 1870s recounts Johnson’s efforts as Professor of Agriculture and deal with animal sales and purchases, grain tests, and other topics.
