The collection consists of several scrapbooks containing newspaper articles of Franklin D. Roosevelt's private and political life from 1934 to 1940. Papers of George Ellis consist of a scrapbook, college songs, poems written by Ellis, and a line graph Ellis drew showing his salary increases and describing his various engineering jobs from 1907 to 1950. Jason Hammond’s papers consist of one scrapbook, which contains a few programs and photographs from Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University). The majority of items are from the Michigan public schools at which he taught. Included are announcements, invitations, photographs, greeting cards, and programs from North Adams High School in Hillsdale, Michigan, where he was principal in 1891, and from schools in Allen and Johnsville, Michigan.
