Subject files include materials collected by Cooperative Extension editors on various issues and events related to agriculture and extension. Many of the subject files were compiled between 1940s and 1950s. One group of files contain correspondence and publications related to the American Association of Agricultural College Editors (AAACE) (1947-1973). Arranged alphabetically.

News releases for the following university units include College of Agriculture, Cooperative Extension Service, Agricultural Experiment Station and the College of Human Ecology. The releases were distributed primarily to the state's newspapers, but some, particularly the Homemaker's News, were also sent to the electronic media. Topics covered include: crop growing advice; instruction packets for 4-H leaders; Human Ecology notes on nutrition, clothing, canning, freezing, and other homemaking tasks; market conditions; innovations from the farm; and other topics relating to agricultural research. Special features include: "Homemaker Radio News", "Farm Radio News" and "Family Food News". Early news releases (1927-1942) and newsclippings are contained in scrapbooks. Arranged chronologically.

Photographs consist of farm equipment and machinery, agriculture experiment stations, the Kellogg Biological Station, and from Farmers' Week. Also present are Cooperative Extension Service photographs. Arranged alphabetically.

ANR Information Films include 4-H, the Cooperative Extension Service, MSU Rodeo, Farmers' Week, and various other agriculture related topics.
