Scope and Content
The William Comstock papers contains MSU related materials and publications related to animal and bird raising. The MSU materials include a blank MSU application for admission, schedule of courses for Spring 1933, Ulyssian Society annual publication for 1925, Camp Custer ROTC yearbook for 1923, panoramic photo of the class of 1924, panoramic photo of Troop F, ROTC at Camp Custer 1923, group photo of the Ulyssian Society with Comstock circa 1926, Phi Sigma Society constitution and bylaws (national), as well as an MAC Book Buying Cooperative album of campus buildings. The publications include bulletins about raising animals, pet birds, poultry and game birds. There are also price lists of buying live game, brochures for animal breeders in the midwest, brochures for taxidermists (including one in Lansing) and a taxidermy school, advertisements for game bird feed, incubator manuals and brochures. There are also photographs of Comstock's pheasant chicks at various ages.
