Scope and Contents
The Frank Telewski papers consist of two reports written by Telewski including "The Beginning of an Artificial Forestry in Mid 19th Century Michigan: The Contributions of W. J. Beal to Silviculture" and "The 120-Yr Period for Dr. Beal’s Seed Viability Experiment." Also included are slides of W.J. Beal Plantation at Grayling, Michigan; W.J. Beal plantings at Oscoda, Michigan; W.J. Beal plantings Harrision, Michigan; W.J. Beal Botanical Garden scenes and shade arbor; W.J. Beal Botanical Garden 125th Anniversary; MSU 4-H Children's Garden; site of MSU Deer Park in 1973; MSU buildings, grounds and trees; tree moving on campus; construction at Mason - Abbott Hall relating to trees; Red Cedar River; MSU Beaumont Nursery; and MSU Herbarium. There are also a few negatives of campus buildings and Beal Plantation in Grayling, Michigan.
