Institute for Women's Policy Research: The Status of Women in Michigan, 1996
Scope and Contents
This collection contains flyers, reports, and assorted guides from the Women’s Program/Women’s Resource Center at Michigan State University. The flyers advertise workshops and events celebrating women’s achievements, women’s history week, breast cancer awareness week, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Other events focus on issues such as LGBT and racial concerns. There are reports outlining the minority presence at different campuses across the country, and list the minority organizations as well as the affirmative action officers. Also included are resource guides which outline activities and programs for women at MSU. There is also a video of the event, “Women Matter: Celebrating Women Achieving Excellence,” from May 1, 2002. Gwendolyn Norrell was the key note speaker and faculty and staff were honored at the event.
The Electronic Resources includes correspondence in the form of e-mail memos and attachments, and digital issues of the Wisdom, Words & Women newsletter from 2012-2016.
