Scope and Contents

The collection contains the lecture series of Richard W. Lindholm, professor of Economics, entitled “General Considerations in the Formulation of Economic Policy.” The lecture series was given in nine parts beginning in November 1956 through January 1957. Parts one, four through seven, and nine, “Lectures in the Economics of Finance”, were given at the National Institute of Administration in Saigon, Vietnam. Parts two, three, and eight, “Lectures in Money and Banking”, were given at the National Institute of Administration Evening School. The lectures are bound in three parts per volume. The lectures are in English as well as Vietnamese. There are also some pages of statistics that are in French. Other lecturers include Bui-Van-Thinh of the National Bank of Vietnam and Pham-Kim-Ngoc of Bank Credit Commercial of Vietnam. Some lectures are annotated in pencil.
