Scrapbook, 1928 - 1930
Scope and Contents
The Leonard R. Garlick scrapbook contains photographs of Michigan State University campus, including Old Horticulture, Physics, Chemistry, the Union, Beaumont Tower, Red Cedar River, and the Marching Band. Included are photographs of bells waiting to be put in the Beaumont Tower. There are photographs of a vacation to Munsing, Michigan, including the JP Gordon Freighter which ran aground in Lake Superior, and the Oliver Iron Mining Company and the miners. There are also photographs of California, including images of Roy Bearden, Ellis Denny, and logging. In addition there are pictures that were taken of a fire that burned down the Cavalry stables on the MSU campus on November 4, 1928. There is also a ticket to a MSU vs. University of Detroit football game which took place on the "new field." The scrapbook also contains a 1929 receipt for agricultural short courses.
