Extension Education Public Affairs Problems: A Case Study, by Andrew J. Nichols, 1954

 File — Drawer: F.D., Folder: 2

Scope and Contents

From the Record Group:

Mauch's papers reflect a special interest in vocational education. This collection consists of three unpublished manuscripts. The first, the second draft of a pamphlet entitled "Education and Training", was the fifth in a series of leaflets on "Developing Human Resources for Economic Growth," a publication project that Mauch coordinated at North Carolina State University in 1963. The second manuscript, "Human Development Potentials," was a paper Mauch presented at the Sixth Agricultural Industries Forum at the University of Illinois in January, 1964. In this paper he emphasized the need for adequate funding for vocational education programs, particularly those which would enable farm youth to receive training in non-farm occupations such as agribusiness.

The third item, "Extension Education on Public Affairs Programs," was a case study written by Andrew J. Nichols for the Cooperative Extension Service of Michigan State University. It was prepared for use in foreign training programs in public policy.
