The records of the Student Publications Board consist of constitutions, bylaws, a code to define aims and obligations; and meeting minutes (1939-1963). There is also a mailing list (1941-1942), correspondence (1940-1961), job descriptions, some financial records (1940-1941; 1952-1962), advertising plans, and a document entitled "Cooperation and Integration Proposals for the State News and the School of Journalism" (1955). Publications discussed in the records include the Wolverine yearbook, State News, Spartan Magazine, MSC Veterinarian, Blue Key Bulletin.

Also included are issues of student publications including The Lamplighter, a Mason-Abbot Hall newsletter; Minddrift, a science fiction & fantasy newsletter; and Michigan State Times, an independent student newspaper.
