Scope and Contents
The Helen Strow collection consists of records pertaining to educational and international developments in the home economics field. The bulk of the collection, dating from 1947 to 1989, includes field reports, pamphlets, unpublished papers, newsletters, photographs, and extensive correspondence relating to both international and regional home economics activities. The International and Historic Home Economics collection series contains reprints, newsletters, reports, and unpublished papers arranged by region and country of origin. The Instructional Materials series consists of pamphlets and reprints arranged by activities including food storage and sanitation. Correspondence is organized alphabetically by the correspondent's last name. Books and publications are arranged alphabetically by author and arranged as International References and Research Reports and Historic Record. A typical file in the collection may include a mimeograph of a document such as the final report of a seminar and its proceedings and may include a diagram of instructional materials.
