This collection contains a one volume book written by Sister Alice O'Rourke, O.P. in 1984. The volume describes one hundred years of the history of the parish in Gaylord, Michigan from 1878-1984. The book opens with the introduction of the Catholic Church to Native Americans in 1671 and continues to elaborate on the growth of the parish. Each section is focused on a few decades and describes the work of the residing fathers and bishops. Also included are historical photographs, some featuring the Pope, and drawings.
