"Notes on M.A.C. History", 1942
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of the dictated manuscipt "Notes on M.A.C. History" by W. O. Hedrick which was completed around 1942. It is a candid and personal history of the campus, faculty, and students beginning around 1887, Hedrick's freshman year at Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University). A few of the topics covered in his "Notes" include Student Life, Social Committee Chairmanship, Commencements, Military Drill, and Faculty Strains and Tensions. The scrapbook contains letters from the Class of 1895 to Hedrick. Imprinted on the cover is the statement "In recognition and deep appreciation, from the Class of 1895, to Dr. Wilbur Olin Hedrick, Michigan State College, June 4, 1949."
