Scope and Contents
The Storrs Family Collections consists of MSU photographs and memorabilia from the Storrs family. The material came from Alice Crafts Storrs class of 1915, Delbert E. Storrs class of 1917, and Flora May Storrs Buday class of 1944. Images include class rush and class rivalry, 1915 J-Hop, MAC carnival, rules for 1912 MAC carnival, and the military band on the football field. There is also an image of the first touchdown at the October 18, 1913 MAC vs University of Michigan Football game, and image of Ferry Field at the University of Michigan at the October 13, 1913 game. There are also images of campus scenes and buildings including College Hall on a postcard, fountain in a garden, Horticultural Laboratory (Eustace-Cole Hall), Weather Bureau building, Old Botany building, postcard of Morrill Hall Women's Building. There are also photos of the class of 1914 and class of 1915, students in dining in Club C in 1915, a group of students labeled Abbot 1914, as well as unidentified groups of students and unidentified portraits. Also included is a page about an MSU football game in the "Detroit Saturday Night" newspaper with an article about the October 25 MAC football game against Wisconsin, dance card from the Ionian Literary Society October 13, 1915, 5th Annual MAC night Class of 1915 ribbon, and a program for a picnic at Pine Lake in 1915 for the organizations Omicorn Nu, Alpha Zeta, Tau Beta Pi, and Scabbard and Blade.
