(1) RESEARCH. 1970-2000. This series includes laboratory books, grant accounts, human and caprine MPS IIID research, and bovine and caprine beta mannosidosis research. The following were transferred to series (14) RESTRICTED: box 2804 folder 13; box 2810 folders 17 and 20.

(2) MEDICAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM. 1967-2000. The Medical Education Curriculum series consists of assignments, exams, programmed texts, and curriculum development. These materials were primarily used at Michigan State University and the Medical College of Virginia.

(3) PROFESSIONAL. 1967-2010. This series is comprised of Jones’s medical licenses, awards, curriculum vitae and biographical sketches, academic appointments, diplomas, patents, publications featuring Jones, self evaluations, continuing medical education, faculty activity forms, and membership in professional organizations (e.g., American Association of Neuropathologists, Institute for Laboratory Animal Research). The following were transferred to series (14) RESTRICTED: box 2801 folders 1-6, 8-9, and 11.

(4) REGIONAL NEUROMUSCULAR DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY. 1972-2000. This series consists of records from the Regional Neuromuscular Diagnostic Laboratory at Michigan State University, including correspondence, budgets, grants, progress reports, brochures, manuals, and consultations.

(5) SABBATICALS AND TRAVEL. 1970-2000. This series includes curriculum, research, correspondence, souvenirs, consultations, travel arrangements, reports, and notebooks from Jones’s sabbaticals and other trips abroad. The following were transferred to series (14) RESTRICTED: box 2820 folder 10; box 2821 folders 9, 10, and; 14.

(6) HOSPITAL TRAINING AND SERVICE. 1974-1998. The Hospital Training and Service series is comprised of consultations and brain cutting demonstrations that Jones provided at numerous area hospitals.

(7) MICHIGAN DEMENTIA POSTMORTEM NETWORK. 1989-1999. This series includes the MDPN’s meeting notes, reports, brochures, manuals, legislation information, correspondence, and funding information.

(8) WRITINGS. 1960-2004. The Writing series consists of drafts and reprints of articles Jones wrote for professional journals and other publications.

(9) CONFERENCES AND PRESENTATIONS. 1969-2009. This series includes presentations Jones and colleagues gave at conferences and other materials from conferences attended.

(10) CORRESPONDENCE. 1970-2005. This series is comprised of research and general correspondence- letters, faxes, and email. These records are divided into decades and arranged alphabetically. Some correspondence is arranged by date (e.g., late 1990s email correspondence).

(11) MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY. 1970-2000. The MSU series includes records relating to the administration of the Department of Pathology, correspondence with MSU administrators, notes, meeting minutes, and other information regarding university committees Jones served on.

(12) EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION. 1936-1965. The Education series consists of class notes, papers, examinations, yearbooks, and other documents from Jones’s education (high school, undergraduate, medical school, and her first residency).

(13) SEMINARY EDUCATION AND CHAPLAINCY. 1998-2009 Materials from Jones’s seminary education at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (G-ETS) include class notes, commencement photographs and program, M.Div diploma and college transcripts. Reflections, self-evaluations, supervisor evaluations, work reports, and statistical reports from Clinical Pastoral Education at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center and Duke University Medical Center are also included in this series. The West Michigan Conference Board of Ordained Ministry sub-series consists of annual updates, sermons, correspondence, continuing education, W.A.R.P. mentoring group records, and other materials from the endorsement process. Finally, the Hospice sub-series includes Jones’s position description, time-off requests, continuing education, memorial services, bereavement resources and training materials, notebooks, and Camp Forget-Me-Not papers.

(14) AUDIO-VISUAL MATERIALS. 1960s-2000. This series includes photographs and negatives, 35 mm slides, videotapes, audio cassette and microcassette tapes. These materials relate to neuropathology instruction (mostly instructional aides, some photos of students), research (animals, necropsies, ultrasounds, experiments, examinations, photos of research team), presentations, and social events.

(15) MICROSCOPE SLIDES. Included in this series are stained and unstained microscope slides primarily from Dr. Jones’ MPSIIID and β-mannosidosis research.

(16) RESTRICTED. The Restricted series is comprised of grants, Jones’s notes, calendars, and some professional materials. Materials are restricted due to the presence of confidential information. Records in the Restricted series must be reviewed by an archivist before being accessed.
