Hoop-Dee-Doo, Music by Milton Delugg, Words by Frank Loesser and Arranged by Jack Mason, © 1950
Scope and Contents
The Joe Cappo collection includes published and original dance band arrangements, as well as published and original medleys and individual songs. All original pieces are written in either pencil or ink whereas the published arrangements are printed and copyrighted. The arrangements are for both instruments as well as voice. Many arrangements lend themselves to a full band with brass, backup vocals, and lead vocals. The collection also contains a poster from a concert put on by the Joe Cappo Orchestra, inventories of all of their many arrangements, as well as set lists. An article from the magazine "Traces" by Matthew Balensuela on the Jperformance of "Joe Cappo and his Egyptian Serenaders vs the Israelite House of David Band" (2013) is included, with a letter from Balensuela to Mary Black Junttonen.
