The Charles W. Tews collection contains postcards from the Hatten Lumber Company mill in New London, Wisconsin and Hatten Lumber Company logging camps. The images include lumber camp scenes (one of which is labeled as near Eldron, Wisconsin), lumber mills, lumber yards, logs on railroad cards, and an image of the Embrass River with logs in it. There is also an image with men eating at a table with a sign "oleomargarine sold or used here," as well as an image of a store at Hazelhurst, Wisconsin. Some of the postcards were written on and sent between 1911 and 1917. The postcards describes how life at the camp is going and were signed by the initials R.D.W.
