Dance cards and event programs, 1938 - 1940
Scope and Contents
The Robert and Leona Gordon Platt collections contains dance cards for military balls, foresters dance, sophomore dance, and an event program for Women's Athletic Association basketball day, an Associated Women Students handbook for women for 1939-1940. The collection also contains photographs of campus buildings, grounds and friends. The subjects of the photos include Leona sitting on a bench in front of the "Rock" circa 1940, sunken and botanical gardens, UAW strike at MSU on June 7, 1937, ROTC on parade grounds, the Band Shell, canoe shelter and Red Cedar River, new music building 1940, and Band Shell.
