Content Description

From the Collection:

The collection consists of small pieces of paper with photos of football players on them possibly sold as a fund raiser. The pieces have a photo, player's name and phrases like "Beat Michigan" and "I want to help." They also say "Watch for the On to Victory Poster" and "See Carp Julian- Harvey & Co. Service." George "Carp" Julian was a football player at Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University) in 1911-1914. It is possible the Harvey & Co. refers to an East Lansing, Michigan photography studio. Names included are L. H. Liberty, R. G. Ferrari, L. G. Handy, C. P. Liberty, Kircher, F. Eliowitz, L. T. Buss, and R. C. Monnett.

Also included are two small charms/ medals that say Michigan State Freshman Champion on the front and C. P. Liberty 1930 on the back.

Also included is a small envelope for voting for the Queen of Lansing at the Shrine Hippodrome and K. of C. Fair (Knights of Columbus). The envelope was for voting for the queen by placing a coin in the envelope to make a vote. The back of the envelope has an advertisement for the Lansing Durant Company selling cars.
