Historical Note

The Overseas Development Council (ODC) was an independent, international policy research institution based in Washington, DC, that sought to improve decision making on multilateral cooperation to promote more effective development and the better management of related global problems. Its program focused on the interrelationship of globalization and development, and improved multilateral responses to these linked challenges." ODC was disbanded in 2000. (Information gathered from: https://www.nndb.com/org/961/000161478/) Dr. Wharton was a ODC trustee from 1969 to 1979, and member of the Board of Directors (1980s-1990s?).
