A film of the opening of the Bauchi-Gombe section of the Maiduguri Railway Construction on April 11, 1963, by His Excellency the Right Honourable Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Governer-General of the Federation of Nigeria. Present at the ceremony were His Excellency Sir Kashim Ibrahim, Governor, North Region; The Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello, Premier, North Region; Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Abubakar; the Honourable Raymond Amanze Njoku, Minister of Transport for the Federation of Nigeria; Dr. Okechukwu Ikejiani, Chairman, Nigerian Railway Corporation, board members and officials.
