"The War: Michigan Voices" Series, 2007

Scope and Contents

This includes: 1. the video of "The War: Michigan Voices - European Theatre". The video is a collection of oral histories from Michigan Veterans who fought at the beaches of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge, took part in liberating concentration camps, served at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials, and others. Also included is archival footage and film footage of memorabilia; 2. audio recordings that were broadcast over radio as part of WKAR-FM (a part of Michigan State University Public Media) and NPR's StoryCorps Door-to-Door. The recordings are interviews of survivors and veterans of World War II living in Michigan. The interviews originally aired between 11/5/2007 and 11/9/2007.
