Vietnam Peace March - Photographs, May 14, 1970
Scope and Contents Note
The James J. Nugent collection consists of images taken by Nugent at a Vietnam protest march on May 14, 1970 that went from MSU to the Capitol with a rally at the Capitol afterwards. The images show people marching along Michigan Avenue, protest signs, and a damaged car. There is also an image of people holding a mock coffin with the words Vietnam Cambodia Kent. Other images show the protestors at the Capitol. There are also images of people protesting in support of United Farm Workers. It is unknown if these were taken at the same time as the Vietnam marches. Some of those images only exist on contact sheets. The collection as a whole includes photographs, negatives, and contact sheets.
