Scope and Contents
The Elbert Kelsey papers contain correspondence, photographs, live stock show program, dance card, Michigan Association of Teachers of Vocational Agriculture anniversary booklet, MSC diploma, certificate and fraternity pins. The correspeonce includes letters to and from Kelsey on a variety of subjects including agriculture, state of Michigan income tax, and legislation. Kelsey recieved letters back from Governor Romney, Duffy Daugherty, Elton Hill, Tim Skubik, and politicians. Kelsey also wrote and sent essays about income tax, Interstate I-69, and agricultural economics. Also include are personal letters from Malcolm Trout and a program from Trout's birthday celebration. The photographs include images of Kelsey including group shots of the Dairy Judging Team and Alpha Zeta members. Included are pins for Phi Kappa Tau, AZ 29. There is also a medal for NYU Commerce Medal 1928. There are also pins for MSU Fifty Year Alumni, and Michigan State Remembers September 11, 2001.
