Historical Note

The Michigan Dairy Goat Society is a non-profit organization for those interested in dairy goats. It has its roots with a group of 4H leaders, Society for the Improvement of Dairy Goats, in Allegan county circa 1963. This group folded in the late 1970′s and those who wanted to raise purebred goats and show at sanctioned shows became MDGS. Its official publication is Goat News.
