The papers of Ruth Rutherford consist of memorabilia from Michigan Agricultural College, including receipts, report cards, and programs (1911-1914), and a scrapbook containing letters, greeting cards, programs from campus activities, postcards, and photographs of friends, picnics, and student life (1910-1914).

Biographical Note
Ruth Irene Rutherford, of Sparta, Illinois, earned her B. S. degree in Home Economics from Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University) in 1914. While at M.A.C., she was a member of Omicron Nu (Home Economics honorary), the Holcad (newspaper) staff, and the Cabinet of the Young Women's Christian Association. She married Luther James Reed, a 1913 graduate of M.A.C., and a farmer in Clio, Michigan.
