Biographical Note
William K. McIntosh emigrated to the U.S. from Scotland in 1870 and in 1872 he began working in the blacksmith shop. In 1877, he purchased the shop and operated it until his death. His son, J.D. McIntosh, purchased it from his father's estate and managed it until his retirement in 1959. The building was razed in 1962.
