Biographical Note
Joseph H. Weaver was born circa 1821 in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. He was a farmer when he enlisted on August 18, 1862 in the Kansas Volunteer Cavalry. He was a corporal under Captain Joel Huntoon of Company H, 11th Regiment. He was discharged on September 13, 1865.
