Collection consists primarily of clippings regarding the career and death of Jon-Erick Hexum whose stage name was Jack E. Hexum. Also included are copies of theater programs, clippings and photographs from his education at Michigan State University.

Biography
Jon-Erik Hexum was born in Tenafly, New Jersey on November 5, 1957. He attended Michigan State University at the Residential Colleges and went by Jack E. Hexum. He graduated from MSU in 1980 with a B.A. in political philosophy. While attending MSU, he was involved in theatre productions and was a member of the football team.
Following his graduation, Hexum moved to New York City to pursue acting and then on to Los Angeles. He was in the films Voyager from the Unknown (1982), The Bear (1984) and on television in Voyagers! (1982 – 1983), Making of a Male Model (1983), Hotel (1984) and Cover Up (1984).
On October 18, 1984 Jon-Erik Hexum died in Century City, California due to injuries sustained in an accident involving a prop .44 magnum revolver.
