Minneapolis Star and Tribune collection
Scope and Contents
The collection contains two public service releases of the Minneapolis Star and Tribune. The first, a 16 mm, color/sound (1964) film entitled Miracle at Your Front Door, details the news reporting process from news gathering to newspaper delivery. The second release, a March 1978 booklet entitled, The Newest News in Town, outlines the newspaper's operation in 1978.

Historical Note
The Minneapolis Tribune was founded in 1867. The Minnesota Daily Star began printing in 1920, and later became the Minneapolis Star which was delivered in the evening.
The Minneapolis Star, an evening newspaper, and the Minneapolis Tribune, a morning newspaper published by the same company, merged in 1982 as the Minneapolis Star and Tribune. In 1987 it became the Star Tribune.
