Biographical Note
The Fenner family has its roots in Germany. One descendent of the family is Carl George Fenner who was a 1923 graduate of Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University). Fenner worked for the city of Lansing, Michigan for 39 years. He held the position of City Forester and eventually became the Superintendent of the Parks Department. The Fenner Nature Center in Lansing is named in his honor.
