Biographical Note

John Thompson (1616-1696) immigrated to Plymouth, Massachusetts from Wales in 1622.

Allan Sutton Thompson attended Michigan Agricultural College (now Michigan State University) as a special student during the 1886-1887 academic year. His extensive photograph collection is housed at the Michigan State University Archives. He was a descendent of John Thompson. Allan's father Charles Hutchinson Thompson is the author of item in this collection.
