Scope and Contents
This collection consists of newspapers documenting the riot that occurred in East Lansing, Michigan after the Michigan State University men's basketball team loss to Duke University in the Final Four tournament of 1999. Included are State News Full Court Press supplements (March 4 and 26), State News Commemorative Issue (March 26 containing a reprint of a March 28, 1979 article), State News Special Edition (March 28), Lansing State Journal (March 29 and 30), and the State News year in review issue (April 29).
