Historical Note

The Department of Biomechanics was established circa 1973 as part of the College of Osteopathic Medicine. It was established as a research entity to conduct fundamental studies of the neuromuscular-skeletal system. The department was formed with biological and physical science staff to conduct interdisciplinary research.
