Historical Note
The bureau was created in 1955 as the Bureau of Research and Service in the College of Education. In 1957, the name changed to the Bureau of Educational Research. From 1961 to 1963 it was called the Bureau of Research and Publications. In 1964, the name changed to Education Research Bureau. The bureau was closed in 1965.
