Historical Note

In 1926, the Medical Biology Course was established to train students to use scientific laboratory methods to assist the medical profession in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. In 1944, the name changed to the Medical Technology Program.

In 2008, the program again changed its name to the Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics Program. This change included expanding the program to a broader spectrum of disciplines and aligned the program with the needs of the healthcare industry and professional organizations.
