Historical Note
From 1980 to 2004, the Office of Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Safety was under the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies. It provided "educational and consultative services to faculty, students, staff and administrators" in regards to safe practices when dealing with hazardous materials. In 2005 this office, jointly with Research and Graduate Studies, became a subordinate unit to the Office of Environmental Health and Safety.
