Porpoise Fraternity records
Scope and Content
The records of the Porpoise Fraternity consist of one copy of the June 1948 Aquatic Yearbook. It includes lists of members and pledges, and statistics about the 1947-1948 season for varsity and junior varsity swimming and includes some diving. Also included is one folder of photographs of the Porpoise queens and her court, circa 1950s.

Historical Note
The Porpoise Fraternity at Michigan State College (now Michigan State University) was established in 1930. The Beta Chapter in the National Honorary Swimming Fraternity primarily sponsored and encouraged all swimming activities. It also sponsored the Water Carnival. All male students who showed superior ability and an active interest in swimming were eligible for membership.
