Scope and Contents
The collection includes annual reports, correspondence, various reports, meeting minutes and agendas, requisition vouchers, information on Summer School entertainment, world travel series, foreign films, and the Fine Arts Festival, booking communications and programs. Also in the collection are a small selection of poster advertisements for concerts in the series as well as a publication that takes a look at the first 75 years. This publication includes some history of the lecture-concert series and features a timeline of the performances/lectures given between 1912 and 1987.

Historical Note
A series of lectures and concerts for students and the general public was initiated at Michigan Agriculture College in 1912 by the student sponsored Liberal Arts Council. A student activity fee of six dollars per year was created with five dollars going to Athletics and one dollar for the Library Arts Council. The lectures and concerts were free to students and tickets were sold to the general public. The Lecture Concert Series were transferred to the Wharton Center when it was built.
