Historical Note

The Non-Formal Education Center Project began in 1971 and was administered by the College of Education. Funded by the United States Agency for International Development, the primary purpose of the project was to initiate, coordinate and help implement programs of international and cross-cultural interest to students and faculty within the College of Education. There were four phases of the project which ran until 1981. The Non-Formal Education Information Center was established during the third phase of the project.
